I managed to fulfil my last three DVD commitments by going through their "Advanced Search" facility on their music section - there`s a fair few bargains in there actually :

Amazingly these are all regular prices and my commitments are now shown as complete after ordering three of the best to replace my ageing vinyl collection :-)

Just to check that ive got this right - - - - you bought some cd`s and it fulfilled your dvd commitment to the club? If this works its sweet......cheers clayts.

Yup, it`s always been the case with Britannia that you could swap formats. Finding the cheaper CDs was just an added bonus.

Note that this won`t work if you`ve signed up to The Music Store - no cheapies to be found therein, sadly :-(

If you click on the music tab, then go down to Bargains, (right hand side) click on view full list then click on the "Click her for Music Sale" box (Also right hand side) there is 15 pages of cheap CD's From £1.99 (i.e. Cher's Greatest Hits) or even cheaper if you buy music cassettes. If you just want to complete your commitment, check it out. The sale is on till 31 March

Hi pat-w, the T & C to the free CD player I signed up for (below) say I must buy 6 REGULAR priced items.. Are you saying that I can buy the SPECIAL or BONUS priced ones and fulfil my obligation? I`m guessing that`s what the Cher £1.99 is as I can`t find it (thought she couldn`t have got it through trade description regs - I mean, `Greatest Hits`??)

I`ve just ordered 3 CDs to complete my commitment.

I clicked on special but they`re not showing as purchases on my Purchase History.

Is this because I shouldn`t have clicked special or is it because my Purchase History hasn`t been updated.

Does anyone know if and how I cancel my order, I don`t want to spend 20 quid if its not gonna kill off those commitments.

Any thoughts.

Could be it`s worth paying the extra rather than forking out for stuff you really don`t want.

Thanks to Clayts for the original post - I bought three items and so can now relax `til next year (more sales I hope).

Anyway, regarding the `Club Choice` - I complained that I never agreed to this under the T&C`s and pointed out the `Distance Selling` regs. They sent me a postage paid sticker for their return! I`m going to hold firm as the CD`s they sent me are now mine by rights I believe.

fed up with paying over the odds at Britannia i tried this little trick - DID NOT WORK - USING THE SPECIAL PRICES. Will only work with the cheap regular priced CDS.

Not to worry, 3 pretty good special edition cd,s for 15 quid is still a good deal,

only problem is i have three more overpriced DVD to buy from Britannia..

Oh and a good DVD to order from Britannia to fulfill that commitment is MOMENTO - Wicked film, and only 16.99 at britannia, rather than the 19.99/24.99 they usually charge (exc. P&P)
