Page 1 of Simpson r1 vs Simpson r2
DVDs & Films Forum
Just gone to cdwow and the time differance between the two are :
simpson r1 660 mins
simpson r2 640 mins
anyone know why?
The reason for the R1 version being longer is due to "PAL speedup", accounted for by the different frame rates of PAL and NTSC. More information about this should be in the FAQs hosted here at Reviewer.
The R1 version also has a music video `Do the Bartman`.
RE: Simpson r1 vs Simpson r2
and apparently, R2 has been slightly `censored` for sexual references so as to keep it`s `U` certificate - 15 seconds or something. I also heard a few commentary comments are also cut for us poor ever-so-sensitive Region 2-ers. - but this could be a vicious lie.
So on the same site are 2 versions of this disk.
R1 and R2
How can they justify a higher price difference on the Cut and do the bartman videoless R2.
R2 version has both the Deep Deep Trouble video and directors cut Do the Bartman video too
The price difference is due to us R2 people being overcharged for the same goods. Cdwow have to pay more for R2 DVD`s than they do for R1. Hence they pass the difference in price onto the customer.
Rip off Britain.
Rocky..
Does anyone know for sure if the R2 is cut ?
Because im not gonna buy it if it is ?
One guy here said there were cuts made to keep it a "U" - but its actually been released as a PG.
15 seconds worth of cuts have been done to something called `The Simpsons - Simpsons and Dehlila`, according to the BBFC website but I don`t know whether this is an episode on the DVD or what...
Simpson and Delilah is an episode. Guest starring Harvey Fierstein I think it was when Homer finds a hair restorer treatment and rises through the ranks at the power-plant after he gets a full head of hair. Maybe they cut some of Fierstein`s stuff for being a bit suggestive?
