I have the Leon (R2) disk and wonder if anyone can tell me if the R1 Version contains any footage cut from the R1 disk. And if so do you recommend I invest in a copy.

If you like the film then yes it`s worth getting, if only to see a couple of extra "hits"

I would recommend that you buy the R1 version.

But then, I recommended to my late mother that she wait an extra day before changing the dud battery in her smoke alarm.

The New R1 Version is a better transfer and has 24 minutes extra, some people think it slows the movie down I thinks its great.

For those with region 2 only, my friend informs me that the same "international version" is available region 2 in Japan. This of course requires NTSC output but I think the language is english with Jap subtitles. This is all unresearched but worth looking into.
