Does anyone remember `Star Fleet`? DVD release at all?
Does anyone remember that quality kids programe `Star Fleet` from the early 80`s? It was about a few puppets in space and was a blatant rip off of Star Wars and had a rousing soundtrack by Brian May!
Wonder if it`s about to be released on DVD? Any ideas?

Er Brian May covered the theme tune after watching the programme with his son, he didn`t do the original theme.
I don`t think it took too much from Star Wars and more from the japanese space cartoons that were popular (remember that Star Wars did borrow a certain amount from japanese influences)
Anyway look at http://www.sfxb.co.uk/ which indicates that theres only a japanese release without any English as such but the rights owners are looking for a publisher outside japan.

Class show - lots of great memories watching this as a kid - the one armed general who was captured and forced to work for the bad guys scared the crap out of me for years... lol
