DVD rental online

andyt (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 24th March 2004, 12:58

Hi all,

I`ve been a bit overwhelmed by the sudden plethora of DVD rental services, so I decided to build a guide that explains what they`re about with reviews and ratings. It`s at www.dvd-rental-guide.co.uk/.

My household are currently using LoveFilm, and I can certainly recommend them - very swift and with a good range of films.

Hope it`s useful - feedback appreciated!

hi,here is my honest feedback:
nice site but to be honest you get more up to date info by going to the rental sites. It`s really just basic info and seems more like advertising. It maybe useful for someone who never knew you could rent dvds online just to get a few of the companies names.i`m also a member of moviemine.com which is not included in the guide.i like that you can add your own reviews of the companies which i have done.

I disagree - I think it`s an excellent site and shows great promise.

You missed out DVD Showtime who I`m with - great for older titles, esp. TV series, plus you can pay by standing order or direct debit rather than needing a continuous credit/debit card authority, meaning you can cancel rather than the company deciding when to stop charging you :)

Excellent service - one day turnaround, two titles per week at £9.99 per month.

Had problems using the link, home page looked OK.
But sorry, I just can`t take seriously anyone who leaves out Blockbuster`s on line rental site!
