Sorry for repeatin anything thats gone B4 but I really need to know which version is uncut. I am a little confused.
Is the region 1 (US version) uncut available from any retailer ie. playusa.com
Please help.

Where did you order your Japanese R2 version from and what was the price?

How come you paid so much skirpydoink? Would you not be just as well off with the Thai or Korean version?
If i can, i will always buy the Japanese versions, they usually have a better picture and soundtrack, they are also better packaged.
eg....All the R2 Japanese Studio Ghibli movies i own are far superior to the UK R2/R3 or R1.....you would need to see them to understand, the print is immaculate and perfectly clear and dirt free.
What Asian movie`s have you bought recently?.....i recommend Green Snake!....at last, available with a great picture and supeb DTS soundtrack.
This is one of the best Tsui Hark films i have ever seen....probably one of my favourite Asian movies of all time.
Also recommend.....8 Diagram Pole Fighter another classic from Shaw brothers!
So is the US region 1 version cut???
Yes it is cut by about 2 minutes.(i think)
"For every sprinkle I find I will kill you...."

If you want the Uncut version of the film which has no b/w scenes and 2 mins of extra footage you will have to buy either the R2 Japanese release or the R3 Thai/Korean release, only problem is during the Japanese Dialog scenes you will have to turn the subtitles on manually as they dont come on automatically like the US and UK DVD.
