Anybody seen `SAW`?

Nina (Elite) posted this on Saturday, 2nd October 2004, 00:03

Worth seeing yes or no?

Is it scary or just media hype from a bunch of scaredy cats?

I wanna see saw :D Not seen it yet but have read a lot of decent reviews for it so I`m looking forward to it. Been ages since I`ve seen a decent horror :/

I can`t wait to see it either. First heard about it months ago through my love of Megadeth (Their new song `Die Dead Enough` was selected for the soundtrack). Hope it lives up to the hype!

OK looks like a trip to the cinema soon then :) It does look good and I like the concept behind it. Hope it is scary/horror, it`s been ages since I have seen a good one. :(

When is it out BTW?

They`ve been talking about this one, for a long time, on the various horror sites I frequent. I might try & get to see it this weekend. The only thing that`s holding me back is that the current tv advertisements have likened it to Seven. :/

I hope that, after such a long wait & all the hype, it turns out to be better than that.

What`s up with Seven?

I saw the "jaw trap" teaser trailler months ago but forgot about it and forgot what film it was for - I think I`ll give it a go, I like the premise, not too keep on the villain`s mask though.

Not that Seven is a terrible film, although I wouldn`t buy it...personally.

It`s just the fact that this film (Saw) is supposed to be a throwback to the old school of horror; a `go-for-the-throat, pull-no-punches` kind of film, which Seven is definitely not.

Anyway, I`m unable to comment until I`ve seen the film. So, I hope my fears are unfounded, and the `Seven` comparison is just something I`ve taken too seriously. One of my typical knee-jerk reactions! :/

I saw the trailer too, 2 versions, one that said `how f***ed up is that`, one that said `how messed up is that`. looks a great film.
