Noticed on preorders at Tescos they had this on there for release Feb 2005. I presume this is the BBC series. Anyone confirm and has anyone an idea of what it will feature as a disc. Don`t suppose too many extras as around £15.
I hope it`s the bbc series!
but i doubt it!
If it is I`m Gonna have it
Quote:
If it is I`m Gonna have it and be prepared to quite literally LYAO at how unintentionally hilarious it is.
I did the same with the Tripods. I remember it being this fantastic sci-fi with state-of-the-art SFX, then as I watched it, I also watched my childhood memories disintergrate..
The opening credits are still on the bbc cult website.take a gander at that for a taster

My gf and I watched the BBCs Day of The Triffids recently (it was on UK Gold) and we quite enjoyed it, hadn`t seen it since we were kids.
It had aged a little bit, but was still good imho.

I saw it too a while ago, or the first 2 eps, when I was housesitting for someone. It is still pretty good and I hope this is the BBC version. It used to be on after my bedtime so I didnt really see it the first time it was on.
The BBC are releasing TDOTT & The Nightmare Man (low budget horror set on a fog bound island) based on the Novel\short story Children of the Vojaniou sic, in the new year.
If Mac users are "more intelligent than the average computer user," why do they need an operating system designed for complete idiots?
See it is on Amazon for under a tenner, and date is first week in April. They`ve even got a picture of the cover - ooh.
Amazingly enough, a quick search on this very site would have given you the answer you seek: http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/search/SearchNews.asp?Search=triffids&Region=0

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...
And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...
