Well that`s one trilogy I won`t have to complete!
RE: Well that`s one trilogy I won`t have to complete!
They do seem to have p***ed the franchise away rather quickly. I quite like the first 2, both quite different styles. Actually, I prefered the `clean` look of the original Blade, but Del Toro`s gothic sequel was a lot more exciting and just better made.
Trinity was more in touch with the original. I actually liked it, because I laughed all the way through. Dracula was hilarious, he was some kind of uber-homosexual and had worse dress sense than David Hasselhoff. Jessica Biel was hot, but her character was completely flat (same doesn`t apply to her chest though :D ). Ryan Renolds was funny, but he never had a serious moment in the film which is just bad scriptwriting. And that I-Pod advert was nearly as bad as the "Converse 2004" placement in I, Robot... nearly!
But Blade had a few gags or one liners that were funny, and the action was ok (although not anywhere near as good or memorable as Blade 2).
I wouldn`t say Trinity was terrible, I was actually quite pleased after the awful trailers and reviews. But I`m betting half the laughs came from it`s awfulness. Still, I will probably pick up the DVD for a fiver sometime (like I did with the other 2).

and for a bonus point, what was "drac`s" last starring role,,,,,,, as a clue, it was a t.v. series (& it was pretty good)
also cut & pasted from the other blade thread :)
heh, tbh i thought it was excellent, not compared to blade 1, but compared to blade 2, blade trinity was a very good action flick, in the first film whistler was important (and you actually wanted him to live etc) but after blade 2 i didn`t really care about him, a bit like highlander, after the first sequel, any that followed had to be good in comparison, as i say, compared the the original, trinity is not particularly good, but stood on it`s own it was a very good action flick (i also watched at the cinema Before i watched the download, and it`s much much better as a cinema experience)
as usual tho, thats just imo
just to make sure it survives when one of the threads gets the axe ;)

I`ve just checked the rating on the BBFC website - do they know the meaning of consistency? The Matrix is cut by 12 seconds for a few head butts, whereas this film has multiple instances of said Glasgow kisses, a fair amount of gore, plenty of f***s and mother f***ers (and I`m sure I heard a c*** in there) and it gets a 15???
RE: Well that`s one trilogy I won`t have to complete!
yeah, there was loads of swearing, tbh i didn`t even look at the age rating.

Buffy season 5 episode 1- Buffy vs Dracula? Do i get bonus points?
I`m not rushing out myself to see Blade: Trinity, but can anyone tell me if Triple H keeps up with the standards of all guest role wrestlers by performing a wholly inappropriate wrestling move during a scuffle? Perhaps he even whollops Blade with `The Pedigree`? or perhaps a wee powerslam?
If memory serves me correctly, Blade himself did deliver a vertical suplex in Blade 2! :/
Mind you, that couldn`t be as bad a Lita`s moonsault in Dark Angel, or Steve Austin`s flying clothesline in Nash Bridges! ;)

SPOILER:
In a truly head in hands moment, Triple H does indeed do the wrestling thing during a fight with Van Wilder. I don`t know the names of the moves, but it`s pretty bad. He can`t act for s*** either, yet they gave him loads of dialogue. He should just stick to his current for of `acting`.

Van Wilder? The Party Liaison?
Wow - Blade 3... just....got.....interesting! ;)
