Get the Region 1 Unrated Directors Cut releases of Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick as they contain more footage which actually improves the films.

I actually enjoyed the sequel. Whilst I think it tries to be a serious sci-fi movie its still quite tongue in cheek. (Anything with Vin Deisel in seems to be that way :))

IMO It was worth the £11 I paid for the R1 director`s cut version anyway - albeit with an annoying introduction by David Twohy.

Just ordered mine from Amazon.co.uk. Region 1 Director`s on there for £8.72 plus £1.24 postage. Not bad I thought.

Just watched my copy of Chronicles of Riddick R1 Directors cut. and i thought it seemed worse than the normal version. All i can remember is when i sore the normal version at the cinema (for 1st time) i said i`d give it 7/10. The DC version i`d only give 6/10. Maybe if i sore the normal version again i might like it less, but if my memory serves me correctly the DC is worse, it only slightly improved the story, and the violence was exactly the same (I think), but i think i noticed an extra "strong" swear word near the end which i dont recall from the norm version.
