ST: Wrath of Khan Directors Edition Region 2
Got this a few days ago watched it and thought it was very grainy and not enhanced or cleaned up much as i thought it would have been as its a special directors edition.
Also it says its animorphic widescreen but i still have black bars on top and bottom, and i thought animorphic meant that it was enhanced so the picture fit the whole 16:9 widescreen tvs as in no black bars.

It`s in 2.35:1, and as such there will still be "black bars" at the top and bottom of the screen.
See here for more in-depth analysis of aspect ratios and the like.

RE: ST: Wrath of Khan Directors Edition Region 2
I havent watched it for a few months now but I thought the quality was very good but then that might only be because I am used to watching the VHS recording I have.
As for the Anamorphic question, Will D answered it, even if a film is Anamorphic there will still be black bars at the top and bottom if it is 2.35:1

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.
