Page 1 of George Lucas is at it again.... *sigh*

I`ve just watched "Entertainment Now" and they had a feature on the creation of the CGI Yoda for AOTC and ROTS. So far so good - but near the end of the article, they said Lucas was so pleased with Yoda in ROTS that (deep breath...) he`s gone back and made Yoda CGI in the original films! :o

Now, I don`t know whether this is true, but if it is, it is an utter travesty! The real-ness of Yoda in Empire and Jedi was what made him so great and lovable - I don`t want that fake looking cartoon seen in ROTS!!

I haven`t minded any of Lucas`s tamperings so far - I mean, I couldn`t care less whether Greedo shot first or not! (mind you, I was a bit p***ed off he replaced the kind and wise looking Seb Shaw with the "brat" version of Anakin at the end of Jedi, but I can sort of understand why he did it). But I digress....

Please, please, please, George - don`t change the Yoda from Empire and Jedi. Is nothing from the original trilogy sacred!? >:(

I`ll take this article with a pinch of salt. I don`t believe for a second that Lucas will CGI the original Yoda.

i`m only half tongue in cheek there, because it would not surprise me in the slightest if in a couple of years (probably sooner) lucas turns around & releases "another" set of re-releases of all six movies, all "tweaked" to his satisfaction, knowing the star wars massive will "have" to complete the sets regardles of how many versions they already have :(

& i`m very sad to say i will probably be one of the first in line when it`s released :/

not as silly as it sounds, i saw on the BBC cefax page that there IS a 6 disk due out when this film comes out, so you`ll have all 6 films all we new extras

so won`t be amazed if in 2-3 years a 10 disc version comes out with added scenes added effects....

all in a darth vader head storage box, limited to only 999,999,999 world wide.

and probably another set once lucas feels he is outta spare cash and makes episodes 7, 8 and 9 (all of which are already written apparantly).

Anyone see the excellent "South Park" last night? It was on the same subject. They found out that Lucas and Spielberg were going to tamper with "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and try to put a stop to it.
A good line went something like this, to George Lucas: "the films you made are not your films to tamper with. They are our films that we have grown up with".

First post, so apologies for butting in, but I do not think the `Saga` set (2007?) can really be as good as it will no doubt be hyped as. A CGI Yoda I think everyone can agree would be a bad thing and there doesn`t seem to be much else he can do. Probably the only changes will be a longer duel scene in Episode 4 (Alec Guiness hooded and David Prowse masked makes this a strong possibility) and as someone else remarked on another board maybe an eye colour change for Luke in ROTJ when is is skirting on the dark side in his duel. Is this really going to convince anyone to shell out for this set. IMO it was criminal that Lucas did not give the option to play the original originals in the box set and I will probably just purchase discount TPM, AOTC and ROTS and that will be it, instead of buying another box set.
