I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

Some of the snootier review site are panning this before it`s even finished, but looking at the trailer, apart from the CGI it`s pretty much identical to the cartoon. Yogi invents hare-brained scheme to get picanic baskits, doesn`t get the basket, and the park ranger admonishes the bear, while standing with his hands on his hips.

I`m not actually sure what was expected from the movie. Yogi becomes an astronaut, perhaps? Or maybe takes down an international supervillain intent on using ol` faithful to disrupt the country`s something-or-other...

It`s not Inception, it`s bloody Yogi poxy Bear
