Classic Splinter Cell On Xbox Spelling Mistake

I know this sounds a bit sad but on the spine of my splinter cell case its actually called SPLINETR CELL. Am I unique? or does anyone elses cases have this mistake? this is the re-released £20 version with the extra disc with levels on it

All of the £20 classic ones have this on the spine - quality control at work!

It may be a stupid question, but is the one with the typo on the spine worth anything? Like, were only a certain number produced before they corrected it, and are there people out there who`d pay for collectors stuff like that? Just wondering...

I doubt it, if it were the odd one or two, then maybe, but if its on all of them, then no chance, but shame on the quality control people for not noticing this

i work as a quality engineer, and i can assure you that 99 times out of 100
quality control would have picked it up...chances are, it was noticed but would`ve
cost more to re-run more covers. a decision which is made by higher management
not quality control.

Its been on all the ones we`ve had at work since it was released on classic.

Surely they could just change it for future covers. Cant cost much to change a spelling mistake.

Oh but it does, say they got 100,000 of those covers printed, would cost a fortune to reprint, and more importantly repackage them, plus it`s unlikely that Microsoft (or whoever) are holding much stock, you`ll probably find that Game, Amazon, Play and the other big retailers have most of it in their warehouses...

Very shoddy though, can`t believe nobody noticed that before it was printed, have they never heard of proof reading?

I have not seen that many copies with this spelling mistake. I have only ever seen one copy in a game shop with this mistake and the only copies now seem to have the correct spelling.

Then you must have seen the rare ones, I`ve never seen one of the classic version that wasn`t spelt wrong.
