Page 1 of These rockband/guitar hero type games...(wii)

Can someone give me a quick lesson in these games please cos i honestly i know feck all about them.......what i do know is for my Wii I`d like a drum kit and maybe a guitar???

I have no idea which game is which?

Sounds daft i know but honestly i`ve been on another planet the last few years on the gaming front (with the exception of mario kart)

Apparently with the Wii, you can`t download tracks for Rockband 1, but you will be able to for Rockband 2.

Basically re: the game, it`s a bit like the training games on a Boxing game where you have to press the buttons that show up on the screen (Except your doing it with a fake guitar/drum, rather than the normal controller).

I really like it as only got it for Xmas, but for the Xbox 360 after asking the question on here, whether it was better for Wii or 360.

I got the Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock deal that was £35 with guitar in HMV (think it`s still going and also after playing it went halves with my brother to get Guitar Hero 4: World Tour.

Personally I prefer Guitar Hero 3.

If you want drums it`s gotta be Rock Band 1 or 2 (see which has the soundtrack you prefer on wikipedia) or Guitar Hero World Tour.

I haven`t played WT, but Rock Band is meant to be much better so I`d say you`re safe with that

I have Rock Band for the PS3 and it`s superb. :D
I`m pretty good on medium, not too bad on Hard (only early on though..).

Drums, geeeetar & mic in the standard package I believe.
You can buy a second geeeetar to do play bass & lead at the same time.

Rock Band is a great game... love it... and so does the wife even, with the singing, which is a definite bonus :)

Not got it, but GHWT looks good too, though I believe there have been some issues for a few people with the drums? This review refers to it: http://www.itreviews.co.uk/games/g528.htm

Though sounds like it`s easily enough fixed.

You`ve probably looked, but for the whole Rock Band package you`ll be lucky to get it for £100.

I think Asda did have them at that price for a while but think it may have been Rock Band (rather than Rock Band 2).
