Page 1 of PS2 DVD playback
Gaming and Consoles Forum
Today's Daily Mirror (Sat27th) says that DVD playback on a ps2 only works if you pause playback every 20 mins because the sound becomes out of sync. Is this true? I was thinking about buying a ps2 for games, but also as a bedroom DVD player. But if DVD playback is unreliable I don't think I will bother. This is the first time I`ve heard this- is it right?

This is rubbish. I bought a playstation 2 (europe) as a games console not as a dvd player seeing as i have an awsome dvd player that i payed £700 for. After purchasing my ps2 i did play a few dvd`s and they have come out ok. If you are from somewhare else in the world this might be different!
£700 lol, what a pwick :P
I speant £700 because it was one of the first dvd players to come to britain- its sony, multi region, dts enabled MACROVISION ALLREADY TAKEN OFF!!! and lost of othe features like when watching a dvd with patches over explicit parts, it can take away the patches, ohh and it was the first ever dvd to be able to record tv, so for £700, it is an absolute bargain!!!!!!
my dvd player cost £100 quid and plays dvds. impressed?
My DVD is a Scan SC-2500, and.......
......I`ll get me coat!
