So has Henman got what it takes?

I don`t think he has but I hope I am wrong.

All the best,

Andrew.

..as long as he doesn`t come off the base line when an awkward lob is heading towards him..

...nope, sadly he`d be better off playing tiddly-winks with his butt cheeks alongside his fellow "countryman" Greg. No offense to the Brits, but English tennis is on a par with their football/cricket/rugby teams, i.e. well below the rest of the world. It appears the only sports the English are successful at right now are Curling and Indoor Bowls (ahhh David Price a.k.a. "the wild man of bowls" - although I think he might be Welsh).

yes he is..and we`re very proud of him....now if we can only get a bowls final in the Millenium Stadium.....anyway...just cos the Brit tennis players tend to lose, it doesn`t mean they shouldnt be supported.

I think you will find that by far and away most of the curlers in these isles tend to be Scotish not English. So now that those two sports have gone I think us English are left with squash and conkers. See them soon on the BBC.

All the best,

Andrew.

I feel sorry for Timmy

He is consistently in the World Top 5 throught the year, playing many finals, and winning some, with virtually no recognition from the media !

Then, the BBC jump on Wimbledon like it`s the only tournament in the world and think he`s going to win it.
Lay off him I reckon, he`s one of the World`s best in a Sport where the competition is tight !!

That`s my view.

Neil.

Why feel sorry for the guy? He just hasn`t got what it takes to win a "major" tournament.

He does OK though, I wouldn`t mind earning his sort of money for being mediocre at my job!

Also, it`s very embarrasing to see all those middle/upper class women making fools of themselves when Timmy plays.

They should stick to making jam and attending gymkhanas!
