Right... here`s the deal :

The British Government in league with all Terrestrial TV channels and most Cable/Sattelite operators are ensuring that unemployment is at its lowest level by making it impossible to stay in and watch anything good on TV during the day.. Unfortunatley it means that people like me (night shift workers) have to endure the steaming pile of putrid turd that is considered to be fit for daytime broadcasting.... christ i`d even settle for repeats of stuff shown the previous night... I mean i`ve just had to suffer this week with ITV showing some awfull Danielle Steele mini series...

SOMEONE help me and find some hidden gems that lurk on the 100s of channels i`ve got but may have missed....

and don`t bother suggesting diagnosis murder.. i already got sucked in by its "so bad it`s good" production.. i`ve even got the ring tone on me phone!!!!!....

Bargain Hunt. The glasses that guy wears are worth as much as any corny comedy crap they show during the day. the contestants never make more than £30 profit if any and it has its own cult following of University Students.
What more could a guy want.....

Buy yourself a VCR and tape the stuff that sounds good from the night before!?!?! in the long run isn`t it worth £50 to keep your sanity?

I`ve got a video!!! but i`m not so selfish as to tie it up all night while girlfriend is watching TV...

Having a terrible reception means that we have to watch terrestrial tv via cable...meaning that she would have to watch what i wanted taped..

and if i just taped what she watched..then we`re back to square one eh? ;)

New solution.
Dump the missus...
Alternatively slip some sleeping stuff in the missus` drink set the tape up and voila you have decent tv to watch. It`s not selfish you`re doing it for her own good. She probably needs the sleep after all the crap shes been watching.
Yet Another alternative is to set the video to tape the late night decent movies or something and ask the missus to be as considerate as yourself and leave the cable on the desired channel.

Watch the Commonwealth Games.
Watch the Cricket.
Watch the History Channel, Discovery Channel, etc.

How about keep the missuss let her watch what she wants and get a new lady friend to fill those day light hours with!!
