Student loan paid in (late) last week. Since then I have been withdrawing £250 per day to pay of debts. On Monday I went to Uni and withdrew £10 for my lunch and a second hand book. On Tuesday night I checked my on-line banking to see if some DD`s had came off only to find that the £10 I took out at Uni has actually been credited to my account instead of debited from it. My pi**er is simply that why oh why could this not happen to one or all of the previous 6 transactions for £250 and not the only one for a chuffing ten spot. Oh, the cash machine in question is located at the QM union in Glasgow Uni if anyone is interested. Don`t know if it is still rebellious.
cheers.
Oh my god!! Have you just read my post? s***ty student debts and everything - what a nitemare!
Don`t be too p***ed. The bank will spot this problem and take it off again. If you did gain £250 (or £500) and spent this, you could be prosecuted. Remember that ATM machine that was giving out *free* money? All those people had to give the money back, and if they didn`t they would need a good lawyer.
Equally so, remember those stories of ATMs just spitting out money willy-nilly without a care in the world, and no-one was actually using it.
No-one had to pay any money back that time.
Of course, it never happens to me.
And that bloke from that insurance company who was doling out fistfuls of tenners - oh, sorry, that was an advert :-(
" Of course, it never happens to me "
It happens to me but too late - was driving along M4 one fine saturday morning and some idiot had left a briefcase full of money on his car roof and drove along the same stretch of motorway and yes you guessed it the briefcase fell off and opened spilling £5, £10 and £20 notes all over the motorway causing chaos as the drivers of the vehicles behind were fighting each other off but I was a few hundred yards further up and didn`t know what the fuss was about.
One day my day will come
