Maybe towards the end of this year as long as you`ve won the lottery. Expected prices around the £1300 mark!!!!

According to an advert in DVD Review magazine Philips intend to have DVD Video Recorders available to buy in the 3rd quarter of 2001.

They will use DVD+RW technology. The discs can be recorded onto up to 1000 times, similar to current CDRW. With a dual-sided disc this will give 4 hours of video on each side.

They don`t mention a price but I expect they will be pricey.

You could have a look at www.philips.com
