That`s nearly 7 weeks ago, is there any limit on the time that they can "do you" within?

RE: Bloody Speeding Ticket
from memory of being a cop in my youth the "notice of intended prosecution" required in speeding cases must be given within 2 weeks may be different now but worth checking out
RE: Bloody Speeding Ticket
2 weeks if from a speed camera... 6 months if you were given NIP at roadside.
Hi what you need to do is arrange "Speeding Ticket Immunity".
How do you get this, its easy join the police, then its bobs your uncle, I was reading that in a certain area of 400 policeman clocked speeding guess how many were done.
350, NO
300 NO
250 NO
200 NO
150 NO
100 NO
Well how many than.
The grand total of one.!!!!!!!!!!!
In our area, Teeside, a police chief who campaigned for a speed camera on a certain stretch of road a couple of years ago was snapped speeding himself.
He said he couldn`t remember if he was driving that day, not that he could suggest anyone else who might have been. Well he was let off, though that is not a defence for anyone else.
You will possibly have also heard about the stretch near here too where it had 50 MPH signs, and two policeman ( off duty I believe) were caught and they were let off as they said the signs were not properly spaced, of course no one after them or before etc has any recourse. Obviously no other police caught there then. One of them had been caught twice, once at 78MPH so the 50mph thing was totally irrelevant as they do you 3 or 4 MPH over round here, but no he was still let off and well over the national limit.
It would be interesting to see the figures of Off duty policemen or women let off country wide, I bet it would make some pretty amazing reading.
Best Mark.

The Shi*house poet needs a good thrashing, Grafitti ISNT cool.... kiddies!
I`m sure that you have to get the notice within 2 weeks as suggested above or it`s not valid - it`s worth looking into.
There`s a bit of advice on the Max Power webby here:
http://www.maxpower.co.uk/advice/advice_gatso_legalfaq.asp?iPage=1
It`s aimed at your boy racer types, but contains some useful info.
Another recent loophole was sending the Intended Notice of Prosecution back filled in correctly but not signed - it then got thrown out of court - if you`re willing to risk going that far!
I had a clean driving licence for 14years, moved to Devon 4 months ago and have now got 6 points (and am £120 poorer!) - both from the same stretch of road and I`ll be damned if I can see the bloody camera - they don`t use those very tall blue video camera for speeding do they?

Very p***ed off myself for getting a £60 fine and 3points for doing 36mph in a 30mph area. It was a mobile camera just before a de-restricted area.
They say that the figures for Rape, Theft etc are all up yet we seem to see more and more of these nice people! trying catch us.
Pete
I thought speed cameras are supposed to be noticable i.e. painted bright yellow with pic of camera on them. We only have one camera in our town - everyone knows its there and brake before they get to it and usually speed up afterwards. Also our town`s local web page pre warns and lists locations/dates of speed/mobile speed cameras.
Julianf: Devon do the same - but turns out their page hasn`t been updated for a while and the one they redirect you to has an error on it - what a surprise!
