Hold on a minute, this has really annoyed me, not because I am a fan or anything, but because I truly believe it IS NOT the worst movie ever made, here`s why:

1. It`s based on a true story (the love plot is added to flesh it out and give it a personal touch)
2. Sure they twisted some facts but largely it was very accurate
3. The Cinematography was spot on
4. The effects were fairly spectacular
5. The acting was largely good
6. The Direction was good
7. The musical score was spot on

So, come on tell me why it was sooooo bad?

Oh, and the same goes for AI and Pearl Harbor too (although the acting in PH was atrocious in some areas I admit). :/

it sucked was the most boring film ever tried watching it 3 times and i actually can`t sit through it and i love camerons other stuff.

I believe with Greg WW. It`s definitely not a film I like a great deal, but is no way the "Nations Worst Film". Its just lots of men revolting against there girlfriends who love it and have forced them to sit through it too many times.

But I agree, the whole thing is ridiculous and the reason I turned off Film 2003 everytime they mentioned it. It was just an excuse for people to try and be cool by not liking really popular films.

I wouldn`t say it`s the worst film ever either. Far from it, in fact. It may not deserve it`s $2 billion gross due to the inaccuracies, dodgy acting (IMO) and that flaming song, but in terms of scale and filmmaking it`s a masterpiece.

Expect the worst and you won`t be disappointed!

That list was so stupid as there are far worser films around. Titanic is no way the worst film ever, and I love it. But even if I didnt, I still dont reckon it deserves to be the worst ever. What plonkers voted. Also there were some others, A.I and Pearl Harbour, that werent really good films but they are watchable and provide decent entertainment. No way were they that bad. I actually quite liked AI.
I think the problem here is most people havent seen anything other than big budget blockbusters and so only voted out of the films they had seen, which were perhaps a few dozen, 50 at most, whereas us movie goers have seen atleast over 500 movies.
There were some that did deserve to be in that list like battlefield earth and batman and robin but on the whole, that list was dodgy and inaccurate.

Yeah, it`s a pretty crazy choice, but not really all that surprising. Pseudo-cinephiles get very snobby about old-fashioned cornball blockbusters with bad scripts and air-brushed stars, and `Titanic` is an easy target in this regard. Worst Film Ever? Only if your soul interest is in cultivating a fashionably obscure, fringe taste in films.
