Saving Private Ryan
Being a horror fiend, Ive seen lots of gory movies in the past, a few video *nasties*
are in my collection, etc, but nothing came close to the 1st 30 mins of SPR...its
real (or was) and more to the point was more horrific, both mentally and physically
on the stomach than ANYTHING in my horror collection.
That one really shook me and the rest of the cinema in a way I hadnt seen before.
I remember I felt physically sick the first time I watched Deliverance, but the most shocking film I`ve ever seen is probably Audition.
Expect the worst and you won`t be disappointed!
ichi the killer,a film that okays sexual abuse against women, whilst ejaculating to them being tortured, raped, and murdered.

Quote:
One time my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at the local mall, so the whole fiasco wound up on the news. It was embarassing for my relatives and all. But the next week, he did it again. Different cat, same results, complete with a trip to the emergency room. Then, last week, I saw him in the pet store. He was buying another cat! I said, "Walt, what the hell are you doing, you know you`re just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don`t you knock it off?" And he says to me, "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" My cousin was a weird guy ! Brodie (Jason Lee) Mallrats
Have to agree with Grackan there, only perhaps I would add that for me the opening violence in Irreversible is jointly as disgusting. :o

....the horror....
I`d go with "Salo"... now that this is a few hours after the original post, what did you make of it? (what a way to start the day!!).
Dazza.
Der New York Ripper
(Actually I havn`t seen it! So I`ll go with Irriversible too. And Apocalypse Now had quite an affect the first time I saw it...poor old cow!)
I watch a lot of horror, so I`m fairly unmoved by most gore.
Jaws gave me nightmares for years (my uncle snuck me in to the cinema to see it at a very tender age). I saw an uncut copy of Cannibal Holocaust a few years ago and it turned my stomach. I quite enjoyed the beach landing in Saving Private Ryan; call me sick but I even laughed at some of it (particularly the bit where the medic slaps a field dressing on a casualty only to see him get shot in the head and die anyway). I haven`t seen Salo, Baise Moi, Irreversible, Ichii or Audition yet, but I will get round to it. I`ve got a copy of Executions - most of it is fairly innocuous(!), but the mob shooting the bloke at the end put me off watching it again.
Funnily enough I find bits of Monkey Dust, on BBC3, quite hard to watch - the running joke about the neglectful parent really does me in.
