Well I`m not one. I said "Don`t Care" because the whole thing doesn`t really bother me as it doesnt` affect me. I definitely don`t think they should be stopped from getting married if they want to, and I`d be interested to see who said "No" and their reasons for saying no.

I also put don`t care. To be honest people should be allowed to do what they want in this respect as it`s not really affecting anyone else apart from the couple.

Being related to someone who is gay I obviously said `Yes`. I hope the main reason for the `no`s` aren`t necessarily thru bigotry, but through lack of understanding.

we three always seem to agree... let`s see if anyone who voted NO is brave enough to defend their 19th Century Ideals

Bloody woofders!!

Only joking.... I also voted "Don`t Care" as it has bugger all to do with me. That said, I have anything against it so I should have said Yes. :/

and i did`nt vote at all, but i`ve no problem with same sex mariages at all, tho it should be a civil service rather than church and before anyone jumps down my throat for saying this, i should point out that i`m an atheist (sp) and i only say this cos it seems hypocritical to hold a religous service if the religion in question say`s it`s wrong :/ same goes for "practising" gay clergy, again i have nothing against homsexuality (one of my best friends is gay) and i certainly don`t think i`m a bigot.

just my opinion :D

I TOAST, THEREFORE I AM.

I put "don`t care" too. My brother-in-law is gay, in a long (by his standards, you know what they`re like ;)) relationship & happy so if he wanted to marry, fine: if he didn`t, that`s fine too.

I would hope that the 24% (25% at time of writing) against it are so on a purely religious basis as there`s no practical reasons against and you can`t knock someone for their beliefs in that arena, perhaps they`re reading too far along the track and thinking of the adoption issue too which I think is much more controversial than the marriage one.

I voted for "Not completely"

A marriage is a religious binding as well as a legal one, and whilst I`m not at all religious, I believe it should follow the tradional route.

I`ve got nowt against gay couples being legally bound together, but marriage has always been for a man and a woman IMHO.

If proper full-on marriage is allowed, you`ll end up getting people getting married to their best mates for a laugh, devaluing marriage to a level well below it`s current state.

Surely being gay doesn`t exclude you from religion?.. religion may exclude being gay, but it`s all open to personal interpretation anyway isn`t it?
