can any one tell me if the latest pioneer 525 with the new remote from technotronics is any good.

i have just had to get rid of an xwave lb900 because it was pants im hoping for a bit more luck on the pioneer can anyone tell me if i will have problems backing up to vcr as they are supposed to be sorted.

if you`re buying the player from techtronics then it`ll be fully sorted for vcr mode, ie u can back up any dvd you like ;-)
a mate of mine has an older 525 with the horribly small remote :(
however it can playback vcd`s on cdr`s no probs

Thats PAL discs only you`ll be able to `back up` - unless you have an NTSC record capable VCR. The Pioneers don`t do 60->50 conversion.

what ever u do dont get this machine as it is very noicy for the first few mins of playback it put me anyway - there is a reveiw of it in what video and tv aprils copy available for 2 pounds..,..... stay well clear!
