Did anyone else catch this on C4 tonight ?

Did anyone else sit there going "they think what, now ?"

Some of the theories were just plain nonsensical and downright insensitive (I`m thinking in particular of (1) the claim that the Boeing 757 never landed on the Pentagon, it was a bomb in the building - all passengers and crew are now agents of the US and alive and living in a trailer park somewhere.. (2) the claim that the reason the towers collapsed the way they did was because someone did a demolition explosive job on it...).

Thankfully, the programme correctly rebuked most of the theories, although there were a couple of worrying issues (e.g. were the air force on stand down that day ?) which niggled away at me.

What did others think ?

I think that they explained this as a dismantling of NORAD (air defences) since the cold war, as the threat was percieved to be from behind Iron Curtain which had diminished.
No one seemed to believe that an internal threat was possible.

More worringing to me was that the Bin Laden Saudi clan was spirited away 2 days later when no other planes were flying.

Also they made no mention that George Bush was at a school at the time of the attacks, and claimed he had seen the attack on the first Tower even though the film of this only surfaced weeks later. At the time the only film was the attack on the second tower :/

I beleive that there were indications of an attack, but no one knew the date or target, that it was carefully planned as a surpise attack. There was info around but no central collator of the info therefore it was missed, so that no one could prevent it.
The airport security was (and still is) very lax.
It would seem that there was intelligence around in different agencies, but no central department to put all these pieces of information together.

The other thing that struck me was all the money made by unknowns on share betting.

I belive that there was some things that were fishy, but basically the prevention of this event was an almighty cock up :(

Are you sure ? The footage was taken by Fireman doing a safety training video, which i am sure appeared on T.V that afternoon.....?

Ironic this was on as I was going to start a thread on Conspiracy Theories, well, moreso the Theorist.
I have a friend and neighbour (we live in flats) who is totally imbued in all this, the New World Order, White Evangelical Zionism (don`t ask me what it means), the approaching era of the coming of The Beast, the Illuminati, the Royal Family etc, etc, ad infinitum.
We parted company this week as it was getting too much. I have seen him go from a carefree person to one who speaks only rhetoric, everything is in capital letters, Jew-hating (I don`t understand the logic) hate filled person. You simply cannot argue, it is utterly impossible, nor reason with him. Reality and reason (as we know it) has gone out the window. Well, I say "reality", but he has a different reality, one "we" mere mortals cannot see unless informed.
I have cut all ties with him as it is impossible to "help" him in any way as no help is needed. In his eyed it is I that needs the help.
It is quite scary as you nearly end up involved. Like tonights programme, which (thankfully) pooh-poohed the theories. I am sure he will see it as part of the "Zionist plot" and made by those that want to denigrate "their" theories. You simply cannot win.
Another example was "American History X". I got this e-mail:
"Bringing the swastika in is out of order. That shows the Jewish propaganda behind the film... always hidden behind something. It is much easier to bring the Nazi ideal into racism in USA, rather than accept that its an all American problem.. white evangelical Zionist ...another stupid film for the masses".
I mean, does anyone know the psychology of why people should get interested and involved in this sort of stuff? Should I try and get him to seek help? Serious answers, please.

Hmmmm, Interesting viewing if nothing else.

The only real worrying thing was the lack of the scrambling of fighters, seeing as though this was a normal operation when a plane goes off course, but on this day no action when FOUR planes go off course??

Can`t trust George W Bush anyway.....his eyes are too close together!!

Nothing would really surprise me though, the missus says to me "When a countries economy is doing poor, there is always a war to help it recover."

As for the film of the first plane hitting the towers, there was a documentary being made about "Rookie" firemen, they just happened to be out and about filming at the time. The full footage has been made into another documentary....I think it was shown around this time last year.

The facts are simple, evil scum hijacked planes and crashed them into buildings,end of story.

Please note that I am not really into conspiricy theorys but I never like `coincidences`.

The biggest eyeopener to me and the most fishy, was the insuring of the towers against terror attack only months before it happened, ($15M insurance to get $3.5B back, must have been some size of claim form).

The whole point nowadays is that we are the first generation to be the most informed with known history, information and data.

We all know that goverments will use some amount of manipulation to get what they want from thier people. Its was so `convenient` that Pearl Harbour happened at the time, so the American people had a reason to enter WW2. (at the expense of the poor unsuspecting casualties, that were pawns in the game)

My own opinion, is that these turning events in modern world history are well and trully orcistrated to some degree, this is to infulence the public in a certain direction and goverments will make sure it happens irrespective of the casulties. We are all pawns in the game.

This latest terror actions like 9/11, Bali bombing, the Russian school masscre are all about increasing security & survellance of the populus, (like the Patriot act in the USA), bringing in tightening controls, on a global scale.

To what ends, well, Orwells 1984, comes to mind.
