Car Insurance for over 70`s

Corrach (Competent) posted this on Tuesday, 28th September 2004, 23:46

Need help, my mother is 77 and her car insurance company (Norwich Union direct) keeps adding more and more money to the premium each year, for no apperent reason. It has now reached a rediculus price.

She just keeps paying and I said I will try and get her a better deal.

I find cannot get any on-line quotes, as the on-line quotation software makes it age limited to under 70.

Can anyone tell me the name (telephone number) of any insurance companies that cater for the older driver, as I need to get her premium down. She has over 5 years NCB.
Thanks.

Grandparents are in their 70s and have always been insured by CIS. I`ve tried shopping around for cheaper, but they`ve never been beaten for them. Policy is fully comp, ANY driver with full NCB on a Ford Focus and its about £300

My Grandfather is 81 and is also insured through CIS. They are cheaper than all other quotes he has had in years.

SAGA do insurance, and as you have to be over 50 to get insurance, it should be agood deal fo someone in their 70`s!

The NFU are also meant to be good for older drivers, and you don`r have to be a farmer to get insurance from them anymore I`ve been told :D
