First of all, sorry mods if this is in the wrong forum, wasn`t too sure where to put it..

ok, So here i was hapily listing some items on eBay, when i got to the "review" page and looked at the fee`s structure and actually paid attention to it, look at the following 2 items i listed, and each time ebay charged me more than they can account for(!)

Admitidly i haven`t checked ebay throughly as to a reason for the apparent overcharges, just remembered now..

Anyone else noticed this on their own listings / found the answer?

I assume that you are listing an item for more than 29.99 but less than 49.99? All eBay fees are clearly laid out here: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/fees.html _PK

I`m carp at maths, would the total include any added VAT though?

The common factor here is 35p. The only extra charge I can think of is a subtitle for that. If you had one for each listing it really should show up in the fee summary table though, :/ _PK

Yup me too. I last listed an item in April 2004. I logged into my account back in December to have a charge of £6.70 odd on my sellers account. I panicked in case my account had been hacked. E-mailed them immediately, 48 hours later, I get a reply saying, they`ve had several reports of this happening and to ignore the charge. (:¦
I spotted it... wonder how many didn`t and paid it!

That page does not help, All it says is "Stated eBay fees include 17.5% VAT for residents of the United Kingdom."
(I was starting to think the fee`s were exc. VAT and then the total was Inc. Vat, but adding it up and it still doesn`t total the same..

more suggestions please! (Before i take this thread to ebay`s own forums)

I always fully check the monthly account and send them a cheque only, so I am always in control of the payments due.

Whenever I`m asked about e-bay I always mention this.
Never ever EVER let them take money from you by direct debit.
Their accounts are a mess and they cannot be trusted.
When I did pay by DD they were removing money willy-nilly and I ended up in credit with them.
I didn`t want to be in credit with them but you try getting them to refund you !!!
Total and utter shambles. >:(

Just like to point out that before posting phrases like this....Quote:

It may be wise to realise that you are making this site liable, as well as yourself! :o

Just a word of advice.
