A cliffhanger ending followed by a preview of next week`s show! Kind of defeats the object of the whole concept :/ Ah well, terrific series so far, only two more weeks left now untill the return of the Daleks :D

The irony of
I`ve been gone a year. I don`t know who is prime minister

Brilliant, in view of current electoral situation.

You can`t beat a good fart joke. :D

Next week in "Doctor Poo":

(Rose and the Doctor are in the FARTIS)

Doctor: (Phhhrrrrrt!) "Aaaaah! Fantastic!"

Rose: "Aw, Doctor!" (holds nose) "That f***in` REEKS!"

Doctor: "Well what do you expect, I`ve been holding it in for 900 years!"

etc.

Now I feel he`s really back after last weeks episode.

Its been a year since Jackie saw Rose, why no mention of the Autons?
SPOILER:
& the fact that this Jackie obviously never got the temporal phone call.

Nice to see the council flat kitchen (on whatever floor), SPOILER:
compared to the ground floor abode with garden through the kitchen window from The End of The World (pointed that with alternate timeline theory out to Hoofy, while watching Confidential).

Mickeys actually grown up (being taken off for questioning seems to have agreed with him, hes taken over "Clive`s" role from Rose & was a lot more believable as a result), until he fcuked off to hide when the TARDIS was surrounded & went straight back into comedy loser bf mode.

I also liked the glowing key heralding the TARDIS returning & Jackie`s reactions to the TARDIS. The Doctor really hasn`t learned how vital it is to check the scanner despite his landing in San Francisco.

The pace of tonights show was just right, we have a begining & we now have a middle of the story with a cliffhanger ending (though I was struck by the fact that deadly peril was attacking on 3 sides, robbing it of any real impact).

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

Rass:despite his landing in San Francisco??

A bit daft putting in showing the doctor and Roses Mum being ok. We all we knew they would be or the series would be over, but a daft thing to show it anyway. Or was it a knock on effect from last weeks press grumbles about not frighting the kiddy`s.

On a brighter note after what looks like a good two-parter, its the return of the Daleks. Poor old doc, it never rains but pours.

On Roses not being able to stay on earth any more, what is everybody`s view;
1) life on earth is so boring after being with the Doctor
2) after being seen on tv going into no.10/helping save the world; she is a celebrity and is press/people fodder.
3) ?

I gonna kill that firefox spellchecker, and enjoy doing it.

Ok, I admit it, I HAD a Philips DVDR70...... now I`m getting withdrawal symptoms

Since landing in SF in the TVM, where he stepped right out of the TARDIS & got some lead as a greeting from some Chinese chaps, he seems to have gotten out of the habit of actually checking the screen to see where, whats outside & if its safe. The only time he`s looked outside so far in this series was watching Dickens as they left him.

3: SPOILER:
She no longer exists within her timestream or a alternate version of her is at home with a different life & that never encountered the Doctor (See Jackie in the kitchen with a garden in EOTW compared to council high rise flat living in Rose & AOL).
