Page 1 of Who thinks Wayne Rooney is way over rated by far?

i believe that wayne rooney is well over rated, i think that was a lucky goal he scored against seamen and im not a great fan of his or arsenals. Everyone went mad about him being so great but honestly he isnt all that great, he is just a young player embraced by fans because of the media. what do you think?

A fully fit Arjen Robben is just that bit better IMHO - not that much, but he is.

Its only cos Rooneys a brit and hailed as the next best thing by the press that he gets the exposure that he does....

Robbens also about the same age is he not? (cos he looks a bloody hell of a lot older! lol)

Yeah, i think hes overrated.

If by overrated you mean strong and quick with a great footballing brain and a foot like a traction engine. His ability to turn a game in an instant. And the fact that he`s proabably scored at least half of the `goals of the season` this year. And that he`s got another 6 years before he reaches what will probably be his professional peak. All this in addition to the fact that he looks like the most dangerous man on the pitch when he plays for england.

you speak the truth my friend its because hes british, if the roles were reversed between him and robben then we all know what would happen!!!

Wayne Rooney is an excellent player, just look at his goal against Newcastle if you want proof as well as his Euro 2004 performance ( I did think he was overrated before then). The problem with him is that he is a thug and a bad example to kids. Once he matures and gets his temper in control he`ll have the potential to be a respectable player as well.

Its funny, I would have agreed last season he was overrated as he didn`t always play especially well for Everton, but this season he has been amongst Man Utds best players. If you saw the Chelsea match tuesday he was the only player who played well.

Well, since the press made Robbens injury to be the worst thing to ever happen to chelsea and making them out to be a one man team, that would be pretty hard.

The only reason he doesnt get as many non-footballing headlines as rooney is that hes not a foul mouthed scouse bastard with a minging shopaholic girlfriend.

If he learned a few cuss words and stepped out with Jodie Marsh the red tops would be on him like flies on s***.

Rooney`s class - I don`t think he`s overrated at all. Worth all of the hype plus more.
