Page 1 of How Did You Get Your Display Name?

Not sure if this has been done in the past, but I haven`t seen it if it has, so was wondering how everyone got their display name and what it means? I don`t know about the rest of you but I read the forums quite a lot and think to myself I wonder why they chose that as their name?

Ok mine is a rather boring story. My first name is John, one of my mates kept coming up with loads of nicknames for me which were all Johnny something or other. At one time he always used to ask me what was on TV that night and I`d know, hence JohnnyTV. Just to clear up that it doesn`t stand for transvestite in case anyone was wondering.

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

This thread has been done before but it`s probably a good idea to resurrect it for those who have joined since then; my username is due to a lack of imagination at the time - since I haven`t got a nickname and couldn`t think of anything original and anonymous.

Mine is because of my surname, and was born in 1983.
Also, someone on DVD reviewer commented in a previous thread that I sounded like I should be a balding middle aged mechanic from the east end - so I put S in front of minty_83 to make it a little more lady like :/ ?????? I also used to get called Sminton at school, when all those mint adverts called Smints were out. Boring but true :)

It goes back to my dreamcast days. As my first name is Peter, and my Fave film of all time is the mighty GB, I initially wanted Venkman as my e-mail addy, but it was taken. Stantz wasn`t, and the rest is rather dull history

was originally marksparks99, which is my nick name marksparks and 1999 was when i first joined the internet ;)

however a change in career saw the adition of an extra 9...
