Page 1 of Bloody e-bay !!!!!!!!!!!!!
General Forum
A couple of weeks ago i was browsing e-bay after consuming a few beers (if you know what i mean ;) ), I stumbled across an auction for a Sega mega drive with a best offer option so being half cut i put in an offer of a tenner.
To my surprise (more like i forgot about it) 3 days later i get an email telling me my offer was accepted, as it was only £20 including postage i paid via pay pal.
A week went by and nothing turned up so i emailed the seller asking what was going on, I got a this reply 2 days later

i ahve been veruy busy at work i can send it monday or if you would like a refund that is possible
Like a fool i mailed him back stating that i was happy to wait.
Another week went by and still nothing so i mailed him again 4 times .
I opened a dispute through Pay pal and sent 3 more messages......................still nothing from him so i then opened a claim with Pay pal, It`s now been 5 days since i opened the claim and guess what the bastard is no longer a registered user >:( .
I guess i can kiss my money good bye.

This is happening alot lately. I have been scammed too. Payed for a 360 game and only got £4.99 back from Paypal. They said he had no more funds in his account. >:(
I am really getting the arse with eBay lately.

I thought that Paypal woul just plunge the account into a negative balance and refund the buyer? Thats what they did with me a few years ago.
I had a chargeback from a lying buyer - the money had already been withdrawn so they just took the account into negative and prevented me from recieving any further funds. Told me that I had to get a cheque written out in USD and post it to them in the US - would take up to 3 months to resolve.
So, I called my credit card, told them that my account had been compromised and they sent me a card with a new number. Changed my bank account and as far as I know that old account is still sitting in the red.

We have completed our investigation of this case. We attempted to process a refund from the seller`s account to your account. Unfortunately, the seller`s account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover £4.99 GBP. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time.
Thats what I got back. Now it shows up as Case Closed. >:( :(

Not strictly on-topic. We had a shop open recently in the area called " I sold it on e-bay". You took your goods to them, they flogged it on e-bay and paid you after commission. Mind you, they didn`t say what the commission would be on any adverts I saw. Anyway, drove past today and they have gone
Wouldn`t have used them anyway

had a similar experience, purchased a heart monitor from somebody with 100% positive feedback, and loads of ratings... item never turned up, so i emailed them nothing, filed a dispute, paypal gave me about £6 back, saying insufficient funds in their account, and to top it all they are no longer registered either.

RE: Bloody e-bay !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got f***ed over by someone recently. Stupidly I paid by cheque too. eBay could offer me nothing back at all in terms of money, but even so, they asked that I filled in a load of paperwork.
That also was for a 360 game, so £26 went down the toilet there unfortunately.
