On your Ipod or mp3 player?
I`ve managed (according to itunes) 12520 tracks in 833 Albums with 300 artists...Total space used (this includes 12 episodes of Fawlty Towers & 1 movie) 73.20gb :o
And I only brought it 4 months ago :/
RE: How much have you got?
I don`t understand why anybody would need 833 albums on their iPod? Must take ages to choose what to play!

RE: How much have you got?
i got about 12 audio books on, + 2 albums & 1 episode of dragonauts.
that`ll change tomorrow tho, cos i tend to only have a small amount on & add/remove stuff regularly, i hate having a lot on cos i find itunes a real pain in the arse to manage when it`s full of stuff.

you see....this is the bit i just dont get.......I just `allow i tunes to organise my music library` or check the box that has words to that affect and i`ve never had a problem with Itunes......i dont care how messy the file system maybe but as long as they`re in one folder i dont care :)

Companies that have p**sed me off so much that I will never use them again and I hope you dont either....
Jacks Fish & Chips of Cambridge ridiculously overpriced and overpackaged chips. £1.20 for a stupidly small portion of chips - they need to go up north for a good lesson in fish and chips
Alloy Bodies of Manchester - The Grand Daddy & Benchmark for shockingly poor customer service.
Capital Bank Leasing who are part of [B]BOS & are f**ing useless & struggle to action the smallest request but are fantastically efficient at taking money out of my account
[B]Abbey National Absolutely diabolical service - how hard is it to change £60 of coins into notes????
....more coming soon no doubt.....

You should see my vinyl/CD collection :o
TBH, there`s probably a lot on there that i won`t listen to, but my theory is "it`s there if i need it", plus i`ve got a very erratic listening range ;)

I`m the opposite, I`m really anal about the organisation of my music :D
Have 3 main directories...Albums, Singles, Music Videos
All the albums are stored in the Albums directory with "Artist - Album name"
If there are multiple CDs, then there will be "CD1" and "CD2" directories under that.
When I add a new album I rip it in iTunes, then move it from the default location to the right one (making sure all the tracks are named with the artist name in them as well :D) and then drag the directory onto the "Playlists" area in iTunes which creates a playlist for the album.
(At this point I have of course already removed the entries from the itunes library to avoid duplications before dragging it in again).
Whilst anal, it does mean I can quickly find stuff if I want to copy to another PC/external hard drive etc. that won`t be used in iTunes :D
I have around 700+ albums in there and luckily I`ve done this from the start so it hasn`t been so much of a hassle!
When people say `albums`, do they mean whole albums?
Even when dealing with artists I love, I rarely enjoy a whole album.
In fact, I could probably count albums where I`ve enjoyed every track on one hand.
So, when it comes to putting `albums` on whatever MP3 player I go for, I will definitely be binning some tracks.
Seems daft, or lazy, to use valuable space to store tracks I`ll skip anyway.
