Annual Devon Reviewer gathering 2008 (between 10th August-31st August)
Well its nearly April, the sun has been shining which has got me to thinking about this years annual summer get together.
Any suggestions for dates yet? I am guessing that kindly `uncle tithers` will be fiddling again at some point during August, at Dartington, so let me throw that into the hat for starter as somewhere to meet.
If the weather is good theer extensive grounds and lawns, plenty of room for kids to run around, or bring your own food and have a picnic, the occasional blast of live music, a pub in the grounds, plenty of parking, and a Railway Station only minutes away...
So Alan, when are you down?
Hopefully a few more can make it this year... i know some are local - Rass/THO (if still in the UK), Julianf, and others have made it in the past Si. There are loads of campsites for those who want to come from further away and make a break of it, and if you want i can check some of these out for you!

Gee whizz, I wish I could go, but don`t know if I have a life, too busy taking care of others. Damn I need a getaway., due time!!! :(

I am well up for camping. Have talked to the Mrs about coming down that way this year for a camping holiday.
Check out some sites and let me know what looks good for a family and maybe post some links so I can check them out. August would be perfect.

As long as JulianF remembers it this year & actually turns up. :p
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.
I hate answering the phone at work - It disturbs my sleep.

probably the best is this one... www.woodlandspark.com all i hear are good reports, even to the extent that some colleagues at work take their caravans a whole 20 miles for long weekends at the site!
these are also well regarded...

RE: Annual Devon Reviewer gathering 2008
Oh yes!....will be down last three weeks of Augusts as per usual, which takes in the Bank Holiday in the second week this year rather than at the end, so dates are August 9th - September 1st (travelling days). No idea what the schedule for the trhee weeks is as yet. I do know that some pain in the arse wants us to play on one of the middle Saturdays (first time in the 16 or so years I`ve been doing it), but I`m sure there`ll be plenty of opportunities for drinks and meet-ups....and more drinks :-)
