Page 1 of Rubbish films you love

Anyone else have one of these.
Mine dates from years ago when I first moved out into a rented flat and managed to rent a reconditioned colour TV (colour mind you).
Sat down with the girlfriend to spend a slobby Sunday afternoon watching.
The Black Shield of Falworth.
Tony Curtis giving his best as a knight of old England without even a hint of changing accent.
Still raises a smile when it`s broadcast now.

Rubbish films describes most of my collection. I`ll even scout out movies that critics have lambasted because I`ll frequently enjoy them. Doesn`t always work, some turds you just can`t polish.

I`m currently revisiting a piece of tosh I paid over the odds for thanks to an exclusivity deal in the US and Amazon Marketplace traders profiteering - Moon Zero Two and When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth - Hammer Films tosh at its 1969 nuttiest.

Shouldn`t this be in the `DVDs & Films` forum? I love loads of `rubbish` (it all depends on your definition) films from Plan 9 From Outer Space to Killer Klowns From Outer Space (just watched this - review on site soon) and everything in between.

BTW, The Black Shield of Falworth is out on DVD on November 10th.

Spaceballs

To this day I still don`t understand why it always gets such a kicking. OK, it`s no classic but it does have lots of really funny gags in it. Hardly Mel Brooks finest hour, but certainly not his worst either.


Ooh - just thought of another (another comedy as well) - Spies Like Us. Again, I accept that it is, in many ways, rubbish - but I still enjoy it very much, so there!

If you love the films are they really rubbish?

Just because other people think they`re rubbish, it`s really only their opinion.

I like the Carry on movies, even though the jokes are corny and old, and I wouldn`t buy them on DVD, but they are fun to watch on television.

Mine? Biggles. Gotta love that cheap 80`s soundtrack. Mind you, it`s got some damn fine stunt flying for a cheap as chips movie. Plus the extra features are the Blue Peter (With Peter Duncan) and saturday Superstore (With Sarah Greene) clips about the movie
