Edward Woodward has died

Pete-MK (Elite Donator) posted this on Monday, 16th November 2009, 13:04

Sometimes I just hate going to the BBC news website on the off-chance something interesting has happened.

Loved him in Hot Fuzz, plus he was the subject of one of my favourite gags of all time

Why does Edward Woodward have so many `D`s in his name?

Because if he didn`t, he`d be Ewar Woowar

RIP

One of the few actors you could genuinely call a legend. Wicker Man, Callan, Equalizer. So many great performances. Never a dud.

RIP Ewar.

Another one of the greats gone on, I was always trying to stay up late to watch Callan & usually got as far as the opening credits.

RIP Edward.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

It was a great series - not available to buy officially either and the unofficial ones look as if they might be iffy.

Farewell Mr Woodward at least you didn`t go out like Sergeant Howie, in my opinion your finest hour.

RP Ted and my sympathies to his wife Michelle.

A fine actor and singer whose albums I have in my record collection.
