does anyone else get this at 2am on a monday morning....   bloody thing keeps waking me up (phone goes of when i get email)....

my daughter always moans that she gets woken up by texts during the night...
her reason for leaving her phone on (its a palm pre) is that it takes about 5 minutes

Either that or switch it to silent profile during the night, which is what I do with my Nokia 5800. Takes a quick coule of button presses and it`s done - not complicated.

It`s an iPhone, so it`s easy to press the mute switch, problem is, my phone is also my alarm clock, so switching it of is a none starter, I could just disable push notifications but for the sake of one pesky email a week it`d be a shame to have to do it :/

Just change your settings so you do not recieve it, also if you put the phone on silent does the alarm still not make loadsa noise?

On my Nokia 5800 you can set the days and times of when you want to receive emails so I set it not to get them between midnight and 8am.

As I-phones can do everything from making toast to brain transplants.(or so I-phone users would have you believe) then I am sure there must be an app that can set you phone to night mode with a single button press. Androids have that.

Heh, Apple are much stricter about what an app is allowed to do system wise.

I`ve given you a lie in Ogster, from next week you can snooze till 9!
