Any storm damage near you?

Loads of trees down here. Including a very big one that fell away from next door's house.

That was a bit frustrating Rob!  Managed to post it in the end by disabling the editor.  Maybe should have done that earlier and I might not have thrown my phone across the room! :)

The editor is really buggy on iPhone/iPad which is why it's best to disable it, but at the same time you can't upload then. :/ There is a newer version (it's called TinyMCE) which I think works quite well on them, but the only theme it comes with has HUGE buttons. :/

Went for a bike ride around the local area to spots I thought might have damage...

Couple of trees down by us on the local roads (NE of London), so did not even think of travelling to work to Bristol today by car, so just called in that I would not be on site today, due to weather conditions. will head out tomorrow when things back to normal.

Heard on BBC TV news two dead by falling trees in Kent /Watford (woman dead in crushed caravan and man dead in crushed car). How sad.

Well oop ere, nowt. The two flimsy plastic plant pots that the dog had chewed are exactly where they were last night, just a bit more wet.

5Live presenter: A man has died after a tree fell on his car.
Interview with fire officer describing attendance with para medics, volunteer doc and the man declared dead at scene.
5Live presenter: So do we know exactly what happened.

Yes we do. A f***ing tree fell on his car. You just told us.
What more do we need?
Make and model, paint colour, species and age of tree?

Journalists. Sheesh.

Not a lot going on here in Bristol, apart from some heavy rain this morning that has given way to sunshine now. Apparently things were worse in Bath.

Worst thing about today is that they cancelled loads of trains in London so most of my department didn't turn up this morning. I'm having to work late and cover the Service Desk phones in their absence, which is like torture for someone who hates phone support...

Mum's new fence blew down...because the girls wendy house blew into it (knew there was something I meant to do yesterday), and the fence in the carpark at work blew down...into a shiny blue BMW (which is no longer so shiny).

A 14 year old boy is missing, presumed dead up the road in Newhaven after being swept away whilst swimming in the sea yesterday afternoon, thoughts are with his family, must be an awful time for them.

On the whole though, could have been much worse!

No real probs for me in mid Kent despite high winds, apart from a mystery small branch that appeared at end of our driveway; it would seem that said branch came down in neighbours garden and he *thoughtfully* decided to chuck it on our driveway the tedious, short-arsed, miserable little c***.
