Page 1 of Any Motorcycle fans?

I'm just checking demographics of motorbikes - anyone here ride or would like to ride?

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which i`m dying are the best i`ve ever had.

I'd like to, but my mum, dad, and wife wouldn't let me :( My dad used to ride one.

I like the thought of riding.
My old man witnessed one of his friends beheaded in a bike accident and the ripple effect has me at 34 and never ridden before.

Had a bad crash at 18 skidding on gravel and hitting a stone wall, ended up two cracked ribs and broken arm, bike was wrecked, so gave it up for cars eversince.

Interesting side story, I had to take my old man in Australia (when he was alive) to the dummy leg clinic for a replacement as he lost his leg during WW2 and the one he had was worn out. 

The majority of older persons there lost legs was due to War, diabetes and smoking. The younger people were mostly motorbike accidents and crashes. Think that says it all.

I have ridden and used to own a bike. Nothing flash, just a Honda 350.
I'd love to own one again but it's money more than good sense that stops me.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

I rode motorbikes for about 10 years, had a bad accident & have never wanted to ride one since.

Once rode one straight into one of those small on-site cement mixers. Nothing hurt but my pride though. 

It was before I learnt to ride. We found an old GPO Bantam, syphoned some petrol out my mate's mum's car and were riding it round a half finished car park.

Going by the above, a lot of us had a scare, and left the biking scene, while we were still breathing.

Mind you there is still the die hards out there, in their fifties, flies in the teeth, scarf in the wind, still surviving the odds, and good on em

Ride a lot :)
Ridden since i was 16 - now 46 (well tomorrow) - have own local Motorcycle Club, member ot Iron Butt and RBLR (Legion Riders)
Current bike BMW R1200GSA.
Usually go abroad once a year, other year down to Gibraltar and back :)

Easy one this year just over to Southern Ireland

It's interesting to find out people's thoughts. I like looking at nice bikes but I would cack myself if I ever went on one. The power of even just a 250 these days is ridiculous.

Interesting app out now for the new Africa Twin. All AR looks awesome. Don't have link so search the app stores.

Also has anyone seen the Honda CRV? It's basically a Moto GP machine with a license plate! But £180k! :)
