RIP Napoleon Solo. Huge part of my childhood was The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
And he was great in Superman 3 as well as Hustle.

Hustle 1-8 is on Netflix, and now my Netflix list.
WTF can we just fast forward to Jan 1 please because this has been a s*** year :(
I think, without Googling, that's the last of the magnificent seven gone as well.
Man from Uncle was always a must not miss.
I'd be tempted to say a decent innings but David Attenborough is still going strong at 90 and hopefully a lot longer.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
Another chunk of my childhood gone aloft.
A Anglophile & regular visitor to the Manor House Hotel in Devon, usually arriving by train at Exeter St Davids.
My outlook on life is positive & carefree, I'm positive that I'm a pessimist & I don't care what what you think.
Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.
RIP to one of the great movie voices. I'm reading his autobiography and he comes across a really decent guy who always felt he was lucky.

Ah, man from U.N.C.L.E, Napolion Solo and Ellya Kuriakin (excuse the spelun). Brings back real memories of my Oz days.
My father who worked for a while abroad in Hong Kong brought all the boys back (including me) 'man from uncle' toy metal handguns with rifle butt extension and scope, must have cost him a fortune in them days, and he hand carried them onto the plane home no problems (more simpler and different days compared with the terrorism age of today).
The girls got naff chinese toy pianos, and wanted to play with our guns instead

Phil Williams interviewed him on 5Live not long back but the podcast isn't available anymore.
Great story about him and Steve McQueen having to jump out of a brothel window, during the making of Magnificent Seven, as neither of them had any cash.
