Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.

Best Doctor since Tom Baker for me, unfortunately let down by poor scripts at the start (not sure the writers knew what to do with him), and a good foil assistant wise.

Wonder if we'll get a woman next?

I think a woman or a minority actor is pretty much guaranteed, gutted he is going though :(

If it is a minority or a female doctor I just hope they choose the right person for job based on their acting prowess rather than just being chosen to tick a box.

Peter was probably the best recent doctor purely because his age took the sexual tension between him and the assistant out of the programme, no offence meant, so they could concentrate on characters and stories.

You just know a load of people will claim they chose them to tick a box regardless of how good they are.

TBH i think they have been forced into it now, not that there are not loads of minority and female actors who could smash it but i fear if you are a white bloke who could also smash it you have next to no chance :(

Best news of the year... should it be an Obituary?

Haven't watched it since his first appearance, worst doctor since Sylvester McCoy!

I have no idea who the next one should be male, female, or Eddy Izzard, black, white, or Donald Trump... it seems who ever it is, there will be a protest march and petiton on on Facebook, as it will upset some one somewhere?

For me Matt Smith was a refreshing choice and was utterly brilliant, i just hope they choose someone who is going to stick with it for more than a series or two.

Honestly never watched McCoy in more than a short clip.
Never got past the OFFS when he was announced.

Quite liked Capaldi. Certainly got me back watching it for a while.
