93 is not a bad innings
I think I'd settle for that unless I was 92
Never met the man but I feel confident in saying a nice guy and a life well lived leaving a lot of pleasure and memories behind.
Just look down his list of credits on IMDB
Some classic comedies The Wrong Arm of the Law and Two Way Stretch
Dr Who, The Wombles, story telling on Jakanory. Even reading The Mowgli Stories for a podcast in 2021.
Sad to see him go but happy he was here and left all that behind.

story telling on Jakanory
Bernard Cribbins reading the Hobbit was a mainstay of my childhood!
He was filming for the Doctor Who 60th anniversary episode for next year. I hope they got all his scenes in the can.
RIP

Amazing to think how I watched his programmes when I was a kid, now my kids watch his progammes, well actually I think they're a bit too old now for Old Jack's boat, but the missus still likes it, and sometimes has a tear in her eye when watching it!

Mainstay in my 80s and 90s childood.
Does anyone else remember The Waterbabies? I loved that as a little kid.
Thanks Bern. x
I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which i`m dying are the best i`ve ever had.
From a song I had a record of as a child about a hole in the ground, to Doctor Who, just an utter legend and an amazingly nice one too. RIP Bernie!
