Page 1 of Anyone Heard of This??? - Sony special remotes

My mate has a sony dvd player ( don`t know which model) and he cannot hack it for multi region but he has been told that a shop in Newcastle can do it for him using some sort of remote control which can unlock his player. Anyone heard of this method and/or if it works???

Tis true, apparently, although the remote will cost you about £50 to borrow.

I think it also depends on the model.

Remote can upgrade NS300 NS400 NC600 F21 NS305 NS405 NC615 F41 Region 2 players and is avalilable to rent from only one source I believe.

And I think the source has something to do with "fish" (not Ketchup!!)
