Page 1 of Dv-p305e Hack not working. My firmware is V4.03 please help!

After some piece of scum broke into my house and stole my Samsung 709, i`ve had it replaced by a Hitachi DV-P305e and now can`t play my region 1 DVD`s or remove the macrovision, i`ve tried the hacks everyone has on their sites but to no avail. I opened up the player and it is firmware V4.03, should this version work? If not what will? I`m at my wits end please help

I assume you have been trying the hack which uses the Hitachi remote. Unfortunately many firmware versions do not work with this hack. The All-For-One hack however does work. There is no way to remove macrovision from the 305 using a remote hack.

I`m afraid v4.03 is known *not* to work with the "own remote" hack :-(

You may be able to replace the firmware with a hackable Samsung 511 or 611 version and use that instead. See my site for details.

I have a DVP 305e and have it hacked using the Aiwa Remote I bought from DVDlibrary.co.uk. My region 1`s work fine but I`m not sure about MACROVISION. Worth checkin the site and asking them.
