Page 1 of Matsui 110 hack changes region to ALL but still unable to play my DVD region 1 disk, please help

Have followed the hack for the Matsui 110 player and all seems to work - it says region ALL after I press the mute button.

However, when I put my region 1 DVD in and it starts to play, the DVD stops suddenly before anything shows one the screen. The front panel shows the counters set to zero and the little play symbol then that goes off and the front panel just says stop.

There is a Y2K sticker on the front of the player, does this have anything to do with it?

I used to sell Matsui`s unfortunately the 110 does not have a big enough memory to play a lot of the latest DVD`s I have the 110 and I can only play about half of my James Bond DVD`s. There is nottihng you can do about this and Dixons will not help as they claim it is not their fault that the technology changes. I promise you the hack works as I have used it myself and will work with most of my region 1 disks. All I can recommend is try to sell you 110 and buy thr 120 which does not hae any of these problems and can still be hacked easily.

Thanx Poohgirl, at least I know it`s not something I`ve done. Will have to see about treating myself to a new DVD player then.

How about vcds then? Got two that play fine, and about 10 that play on my computer (crap) but the matsui rejects them. The two that work have a Sort of start up on them that says vcd by so and so but all the others go straight into the film!!!! Any ideas?
