Page 1 of Sony DAV-S300 hack

Does anyone know if it possible to hack the Sony DAV-S300 without chipping it so it`ll play all regions?

hi,

when in standby mode press the following. title,clear,power. plays region 1 and 2 dont know if it turns off macrovision.

thanks for replying, but how do you ge it into standby mode? If you just press the green power button then that doesn`t seem to work.

hi,

you need to press the standby button on the player not the remote. and then title clear power on the remote. nothing will happen until you insert a region 1 disc.

What a load of crap .. it does of course have to be chipped .. putting the player into diagnostic mode will not enable all regions

If this hack works, do you know if you can play region 4?

I may be being stupid but I still can`t get the hack to work, when you say tha the machine is in standby sdoes that mean you turn it off - if not then how do you put into standby as I can only see an on/off switch.

Do you know if this hack works on the sony DAV-S600 and if you can play DVDs region 4?
