hi this hack i found here is fake it worked untill i pressed the setup exit
button via my remote

1. Press the Setup button on your remote control
2. Press the Title button on your remote control
3. Press the Step button on your remote control
4. Press the Next button on your remote control
5. Using the Up and Down buttons on your remote, select the region of your choice or Bypass for region free
6. Save and then Exit the menu

if you know how to get me back to the menu ..please email me

Fake is an exceedingly strong word, could you get to the hidden menu and change the region to region free or not?

i got to the hidden menu and changed it to us ......now i have tested it with a us dvd disc ...it wont play any us dvd discs nor can i get back
to the hidden menu

tell me what i need to know .......

ok i have sent all the info ....how do i get back into the hidden menu .....??

1 when i do all above again ....it wont let me see the hidden menu
2 i have left the power off all night ....
3 come please ....am sure you know the right info ...
4 i will check back later ..if no joy am taking back the crap player

i have seen some good hacks ...but this one must be a real fake that blows your bios in the deawoo players well done !!

For some reason people don`t publish the keypresses necessary to get into the service menu correctly. It is really simple and really easy, but the number one fault most people forget is to put the machine into full stop. You may notice if you press stop when watching a disc it says "Pre-Stop". If you were to press play the disc would continue on from the last point it was at. By pressing Stop again the machine will be in full "Stop" mode and now if you were to press play the disc would start from the beginning.

So, once the machine is in FULL stop mode (by pressing stop twice)press:

setup
title
step
next

Then scroll down to the bottom of the service menu and you will see the option "Region ID" - scroll down to the bottom of the Regions (through 1, 2, 3, 4 etc) and there is an option to disable right at the end.

I have this player and this hack works fine. Make sure you don`t have a disk in...
By the way, if the RGB prob or the picture quality is bothering you take it back and get a refund as Daewoo are not going to sort the probs out..
