Means they have anaologue tuners in then (bbc1 2 ITV CH4 CH5) the one that have digital ticked have freeview inbuilt ,also look out to see if they can be used as pc Monitors most do but the cheap ones dont hope this helps

Bough one of these .need some advice .250gb Seagate drive came already formatted as fat32 .Is it best to partition the drive into more managable chunks? Also was going to re format the drive before I started but it would only format as ntfs .Also just for info it took ages for the PC to recognise the USB device about 7 minutes in all,but all is ok now.
Another one folks, I tried copying a 350 mb divx file which I had downloaded onto my 2gb sd card from the card reader to the hard drive and it took ages ,is this nornal? Any comments greatly appreciated.Great piece of kit though

Ok Here goes.This is a bargain!!. Bought one yesterday expecting it to bit iffy but ok for the bedroom and found its brilliant!!. It plays divx mpeg4 xvid with no sysnc or judder.Its even better than my cerified divx player !! Lots of features. It has remote etc. rgb output. Only downside is that it dosn`t have dolby digitil but fine for dolby surround. When I powered it up all the setup intructions were in italian but managed to change it to english with no probs.Multiregion out of the box and its dinky so there!!! lol
P.S Its obviously aimed at the Italian market as everthing is in Italian

Sorry but cant see what all the fuss is about with this. The screen is tiny.!! I remember the old days when I bought a casio 2.5" portable telly.Used it about twice screen was so small you colbn`t make much out. Really not being an old moner but whats so special about this player? ,saw one today in Dixons not really that impressed . I`ll stick to my old mp3 1 gb mp3 player which i picked up on ebay for £25 and wait for the screens to become watchable !. I await the backlash lol!!!

Quite a bit of difference from 2 hour to 4 !!.Wish they had incorporated 3 hour mode. My old goodmans had a three hour mode before it overheated and i had to return it! and the picture was great in 3 hour mode. Picture na 4 hour modes is like a cheap mono vcr picture or at least it is on my 28" telly hope this helps

:( bought one on Friday all ok for about 8 hours then a high pitched whine emerged when on stanby then went to play dvd splash screen appeared then no picture only sound pulled plug out switched back on all ok ,this morning same thing grrrr took it back guy said this was the 6th one with same problem oh well you gets what you pay for i suppose

dont worry folks itsgoing back tomorrow. Flippin thing seized up on its first real recording . Drawer wont open disc stuck in drive . Tesco have now reduced them ,I wonder why????!!!!

Anyone know if their is a 3hour firmware update for this. Bought one a couple of days ago to replace my old goodmans which overheated and blew up !!. Happy with the technika but really miss the 3 hour mode :/

Any idea what the sales dept are like with them? I thought I was ordering qty 100 dvd-r with this link but when invoice was produced it said I`d just ordered dty 100 cdr !!!!!

Be warned .You can only cancel your subscription by phoning an 0870 number and you hang on for ages or your told by the machine that the offices are now closed .
I managed to cancel my account eventually but only after a long long wait and being cut off twice on the 0870 no .
You cannoytcancel online now. What has happened to this company ?? they used to be brilliant now they are just awful. I would have used stronger language but this is a respectable forum

Have to say they are now bloody awful. My contract is for them to supply 3 dvds at a time . Lucky if I receive 2 once every couple of weeks!!!. I have over 30 items in my queue. Surely they must realise we`re all going to leave in droves or is that what they want as they are now so over subscribed!!!!!

sounds as though thet`ve found some more of the Times Dvds which were on offer a few weeks ago. There was a whole series of BBC discs going for £2.99 on a Monday if you bought the times 8)

Savapoint Beware

Recently ordered a dolby decoder from this shower. Received it after about 3 weeks(took my money straight away from my credit card) . Itwas a load of rubbish ,quite clearly secondhand with no intructions. Couldnt ge a peep out of it took it to a m8s and he verified it being absolutely dud. I phoned them up and after a lot of patronising banter about me not knowing how to set it up properly and after a a lot of persuassion agreed for it to be sent back for a replacement unit. They also agreed to reimburse me for the postage. After a month of waiting I still havent received anything .Phoned them up and have now gone back on their word. They refuse to refund the postage. I asked to speak to the manager and was told there isnt one !!! I then asked when a replacement unit was going to be sent out and he said soon couldnt give me a date. I then asked for a refund and was told its too late for that . I explained I had the goods in my possession for 24 hours only !!!! . Needless to say now on to the Credit Card company but have wasted £7 on postage plus a load of rubbish phone calls to an 0870 number. Worst shower I have ever dealt with ,rude and downright patronising. You have been warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ipoints

Dont know if this id the right forum for this but just need some advice. Last year I took out a motor insurance policy with Screentrade (Lloyds Tsb). I did it through Ipoints.co.uk (similar to rpoints) and was awarded 400 points . These points are worth about £20 which can be redeemed at Amazon or Choices Direct etc. On my Ipoints statement the points show as `pending` and have done since Nov04. I contacted Ipoints and asked when I could spend them and was told that `they hadn`t been paid by screentrade so therefore I couldnt redeem the points` . Have sent them numerous follow up emails and even offered to speak to the promotions dept of screentrade but have had no replies from them apart from the initial one in November.
Phew!! nearly there. My question is does anyone know where I stand with regard to law on these type of companies like Ipints rpoints etc if they dont pay out?

Easiest way to record from video is to get a scart to phono lead and plug the scart into the video and the 3 phonos into the front of the 5005. Then all you do is select the AV option to record on .I On my 5005 it even bypasses the macrovision prob !!

I returned my 5005 to Argos today sas the jerky picture scenario was driving me mad. Had it replaced with a 5004 which no one has heard of . 3 hour mode added and videoplus BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no rgb for superior picture and no progressive scan .Worst of all no firmware upgrdes as Liteon dont recognise it as a model no!!! .Inputed my seriel no for upgrade on the liteon site and they said it was invalid .Going back tomorrow for a refundf hopefully .Very naughty of Argos to advertise a 5005 and supply you with an inferior machine
