Anyone who has/bought the GRUNDIG GDV230 player!!!!
Well i bought this player today for £140 and i can i know, cos i tried it, the goodmans 3500 hack doesnt work.
i also took the cover off and looked for any markings that would give its true identity away. all i could see was a chip with ORION OECE001A ICQF067100 written on it. so does trhis make it an orion player? i tried an orion hack but with no luck.
the picture is good (yeah, like i`d know) and the sound seemed fine.
the features are a bit sparse no vcd,cd-r or any thing , just dvd and cd.
oh and the picture of the remote on the dixons/currys website is wrong.the one i recieved was a one similer to matsui vcr remote.

Yeah, I couldn`t get the Goodmans 3500 hack to work either. Hopefully the extra tech info you put up will help someone crack it sooner rather than later.
I`d also agree that the features are a bit sparse for the price (£140) even more so when you consider that the marked price on mine was £180 and I`ve seen a few other players in that price range that look much better equipped since then!
The only reason I bought it instead of a cheaper model (which also came with 3 free discs btw) was because the sales assistant told me it was capable of multi-region play - although she wouldn`t be drawn on whether this would entail hacking or chipping.
