i have a samsung 511 anyone know how i can copy a dvd to video without it turning black & white
thanks
Buy an external macrovision remover. There is no way to stop THIS player from adding macrovision signals to the video.
If the picture is comming out black and white it sounds more like you are trying to copy NTSC DVD`s in which case you will need to convert the video signal into PAL first and then remove the macrovision - the convertors are generally a few hundred £ - the boxes to remove macrovision are about £50 ish
..But remember kids, copying DVDs is very naughty, so don`t do it! ;)
RE: Copying dvd to video
I`ve course I only use mine because macrovision causes problems with my projector - honest gov`ner !!!

RE: Copying dvd to video
They are normally called video stabilisers - try www.keene.co.uk (there mine came from) , www.techtronics.com , www.maplin.co.uk (expensive and the same one`s as keene though) or most other audio/video shops.
P.s. don`t bother asking to buy a device that will copy videos and DVD`s when you ring up - they won`t say it will because obviously thats illegal ! - not that anyone does copy DVD`s or videos of course !! ;)
RE: Copying dvd to video
I tried lookin around and even asked a few people in maplin (not telling them what I wanted it for) and none of them seem to know what one is :(

RE: Copying dvd to video
Mine was from www.keene.co.uk - catalogue issue 11 - part numbers SB3677 (has composite only - £44.99) or VP260 (has svideo and compsite - £54.99) - both were under the video processors section and ONLY work with PAL
you maybe better off to phone them or send then an e-mail
